“The Day After,” Luke 2:1-24

Have you ever wondered about the next day? The day after Christmas, like today, has a tendency to just sort of be the next day. Have you ever wondered about some of the famous next days? Like what happened the next day when Abraham left Ur heading toward Canaan, the land that God had promised to show him? What happened the day after Moses had heard God through a burning bush or Israel had walked through the Red Sea on dry ground? What was the day after when Lazarus was raised from the dead like? Or the day after Peter had been miraculously released from prison?

We spend a lot of time talking about specific events of the past or looking forward to specific events in the future. We tend to prepare for the next big day, the next big moment, but then what?

In this week’s sermon, Pastor Abie Kulynych uses the example of Mary and Joseph to teach us how to obey God’s word “The Day After.”
