Wednesday April 21st at 7:00 PM is our next Facebook Live Revelation Bible Study. In Revelation 13 we saw the futile battles of Satan. The dragon attempted to destroy the woman and failed, to devour her child and failed and then he waged war with her offspring and again failed. In chapter 14, John takes us from a vision of the dragon and his two beasts, to the Lamb and His 144,000 witnesses. Once again, rather than following a straight line from one event to the next, Revelation circles back to something that we’ve seen before. In chapter 7, John saw 144,000 witnesses, 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel, those protected by the angels; sealed on their foreheads. Those 144,000 of Israel quickly became a great multitude too great to be counted from every nation, tribe, people and language, all before the throne and before the Lamb. In this week’s passage, we don’t discover who these witnesses are nearly as much as we see who they belong to, the Scripture doesn’t give their identity but does reveal their character.
