Each year our Discipleship Pastor, Joanne, puts together a reading plan for us to go through together as a church. We believe that it’s not just important to read the Bible, but to read it slowly, carefully, in its fullness, and to read it together. Our annual reading plan is generally a section of the Bible. We have read the Torah, the Prophets and the Historical books over the last few years.

In addition to the reading plan, Joanne is the administrator of a private Facebook group—CORF-The WE of Scripture and Prayer—where each day she leads a discussion of the passage we have read. This group has become a vital form of discipleship and fellowship.

The final piece, that brings this all together, is every other week we meet for Bible study, what we like to call “conversations around the Word”, where we discuss the passages that we’ve been reading together as a group. This is a time where we have dinner together at 5:30 and then at 6:30 Joanne leads us in a discussion that everyone is welcomed and encouraged to take part in. It is truly amazing how much more clearly we see God’s character through God’s Word when we read and discuss together.

Everyone is welcome to join the Facebook group and the Bible Study.
