The monthly men’s Bible study at Tabernacle Baptist Church scheduled for Saturday, April 1st has been rescheduled to Saturday, April 8th at 10:00 AM. Abie is teaching this study that focuses on Genesis 3:9 “Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, ‘Where are you?'” We are concentrating on what it truly means to have been created in the image of God, born into sin and then redeemed so that we can be conformed to the image of Jesus. This week we are going to concentrate on John 17:17, Jesus’ prayer for His apostles, “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” We are going to discuss sanctification. What is it? Who does the work of it? What does it look like when it is happening in our lives? I hope that we will see that sanctification has a very specific path in each of our lives: exposure, confession, redemption and restoration.
This Bible study is open to all men of the community and it is our prayer that this will become an opportunity for the men who live in Burlington and who attend churches in Burlington to grow together in Christ’s image, to fellowship as the Body of Christ and to reach out to our community in the love of Christ.
