“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God! And that is what we are.” 1 John 3:1
Good afternoon CORF,
What a comforting verse this is to us who are in Christ. We’re more than saved. We’re more than Christians. The Father has actually lavished his great love on us by making us his children by virtue of our union with Christ. If we are in Christ and are children of God, that also means that there are many others who are not in Christ and therefore not children of God. So what should we do with this reality? Watch this week’s video update as Pastor Abie encourages us to get out of our complacency and personal salvation contentment and seek to share God’s love with those who are not in Christ.
