Then, Now, Later | Revelation 6:12-17

When the sixth seal opens in Revelation 6:12, both the heavens and the earth are shaken. There is an earthquake, the sun goes dark, the moon like blood, stars fall from the sky and mountains and islands are moved from their place. Nothing like it has ever happened before. People, all people, are not only affected, they are moved, and everyone from kings to slaves try to hide from the shaking. They are all aware of one thing: the wrath of God has come.

This passage of Scripture would be terrifying if not for one thing: Jesus prepared us for it. In Matthew 24, as Jesus was preparing Himself for the cross, He took the time to prepare the apostles, and all those who would read His Word, of the days that lead to His return. He answered a series of the apostles questions in a way that addressed their time, our time, and the end of all time.

Join us as we work to connect Matthew 24 with Revelation 6, so we may see that there is nothing that happens in the end that Jesus didn’t prepare us for since the beginning. No matter the timing, this is sure, all things are in Jesus’ hands and He is doing all things (even these things) for His glory which is always for our good.
