Revelation 1:4-7 “Jesus is . . .”

On the last night of Jesus’ life He told His apostles that He was “the way, the truth and the life”, then He explained what that meant, “no one comes to the Father except by Me.” Jesus came to teach us who God is and what God is like, He came to reveal His heart and to show us His character, as He told Philip, “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.” Tonight, we move into a place in Revelation in which the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, together, with one united voice, begin to show us the Son. In the same way that the gospels are Jesus showing us the Father, Revelation is the Father showing us the Son, but the beauty of the Godhead is that whenever One speaks, they all have spoken.
