Prayer Meeting, Monday, May 21st, 7:00

Join us tonight at 7:00 for our bi-weekly prayer meeting at the Kulynych’s home, 945 Bordentown Rd. in Burlington. Our prayer meetings are a time to share our needs and to pray both with and for each other. Tonight we will be praying our way through I Kings 19:1-18. Elijah was overwhelmed, he’d had enough, he was completely empty and decided he could do no more and go no further. In God’s kindness, He sent an angel to feed Elijah and prepare him for the journey that God had for him, even acknowledging, “the journey is too great for you”. The journey led Elijah to God’s presence, to the still, gentle whisper of God, to the assurance that he was lonely but not alone and to the next step that God had prepared for him.

Tonight, if you are tired, weary, even empty, I encourage you to join us so that we can pray together, for the sustenance of God’s Word, the comfort of God’s presence and the healing virtue of God’s voice. The journey may indeed be too much for you, but God has not asked you to walk it yourself, but like Elijah, to let Him lead you through it. If you are not able to join us, please send us your prayer request and we will be sure to pray for you, believing that God will meet you where you are even as He met Elijah and is meeting so many others. It is our joy to hold each others arms in times of weariness. Let’s help each other! Let’s fight for each other! Just as God showed Israel, by using Johsua, Moses, Aaron and Hur, together to defeat the Amalekites, we win these battles together!
