On Monday night, December 3rd, at 7:00 PM we will be gathering for a special prayer meeting at the Kulynych home, 945 Bordentown Road in Burlington. This prayer gathering will be to pray for the building, to seek God for direction, to be reminded of what He has already done and what He has promised, to call on Him for help and to wait on Him to hear His voice. We know it is not possible for some, but we are asking that as many of you as possible join us for this prayer time, that we would unite in asking God to move, but that we would also unite in trusting God, in taking Him at His word and in declaring His purposes over our city.
In preparation for the prayer time I would like to ask each of you to read over one of our Scripture promises, Isaiah 57:13b-20, concentrating on what is a large part of our calling in this community, verse 14, “Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people.”
On Monday night we will be asking God to remove every obstacle in the way of His purposes for our city, our church and this building. We will ask Him to reveal and remove obstacles in our hearts, in our faith, in our actions and in our obedience, we will deal with ourselves through confession and repentance first. Then we will ask God to reveal and remove any obstacle that has been established by men and any stronghold that has been established by our enemy. My prayer is that this will be a time to gather in strength and humility and to join God in His plans while we adjust to His Word and His will in humility. Please use these next few days to prepare so that when we gather, we are prepared to hear from God and to act upon God’s clear direction.
