I Peter Bible Study, Wednesday, October 3rd

Join us Wednesday, October 3rd at 7:00 as we close out our verse by verse study of the book of I Peter. The entire letter has been an encouragement and a challenge, to a suffering group of Christians, to be different, to rejoice in the gift of salvation, to trust the character of God and to choose submission in a culture that was attempting to use oppression and ridicule to keep control. In our current culture, there is so much we can learn from this letter, mostly, that submission to God is displayed through submission in relationships, that our trust in God is not for Him to keep us from difficulty, but that we will be kept in the midst of it, that the true grace of God leads us to endurance not avoidance and that peace comes from who we belong to, not where we currently live. This has been a beautiful study of God’s goodness, we look forward to closing it with grace and giving thanks to the God who see sin abound and in response, gives more grace. We meet at the Kulynych’s home, 945 Bordentown Rd. in Burlington. We apologize but there is no childcare available for this gathering.

In two weeks, Wednesday, October 17th, we will begin a study of II Peter.
