In our text Jesus calls those in Capernaum that day and each of us here today to do the work necessary for eternal life. Our prayer is that we will see that we are not saved by works but we are saved to work, that labor is a part of our created purpose not one of sin’s curses and that what we spend our lives chasing is ultimately who we become, what we receive and what we give to others along the way.
