We just completed our second class on the book of Hebrews. In this class we studied 1:4-1:14, Jesus is exalted above the angels. In this passage of Scripture the author of Hebrews begins to show us a bit of his style and belief as he quotes from the Old Testament 7 different times in only 10 verses. From these quotes and his application of them we begin to see a very clear picture of Jesus’ divinity. The letter will reveal Jesus as God, and as such, He is greater than all things, in this first chapter he begins this revelation by declaring Jesus greater than the angels.
