Have you ever been to a point in your life where you wanted things to change, even needed things to change, but your heart seemed like the only thing God was willing to change? In this passage we see that the Pharisees wanted, even needed, the Messiah to come, they wanted things to change, they needed things to change, but Jesus the Messiah didn’t come to change things but to change people. The Pharisees were faced with the same issue that faces many of us, will we surrender and submit to being changed or will we reject what God is doing in us by waiting for what we want God to do for us? The question we must ask ourselves today, and most everyday, is ‘Do we want change or are we willing, are we ready, to be changed?’
