Revelation 19:13 says Jesus’ “name is The Word of God.” I believe that the truest way to know Jesus, to be in right relationship with Him and to realize the fullness of His free gift of salvation to us, is to love the Word of God. This coming year we are going to offer more opportunities than ever to hold God’s Word up to our lives and to see if we are living the abundant life that He has promised for us. In providing new opportunities we are also going to challenge each other more than ever to live according to God’s Word, to let the Bible be much more than a road map or guide book, but to give it the proper place it deserves as the manifestation of Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away our sins. My prayer is that this coming year will be a year of increase not merely of reading or studying but in the revelation of God, to let His Word reveal who He is, what He has done and what He desires from His children.
